| | Well, not super duper, but it's still a good day. Even though it's a cloudy one, we're going to visit friends for dinner tonight (From ffstockings.com!) After dinner we'll take in the Vancouver Symphony of Fire. Canada is opening the contest tonight. Last year we managed to catch a glimpse of Italy's night (I think it was Italy, at least.) But our view was from the Burrard St. Bridge and it was crowded and I couldn't see much. Tonight should be much better! | comments: Leave a comment   |
| The first step after all these edits we've made is to re-outline, not just jump into re-writing,
Thing is, I kinda suck at writing an outline in the traditional format. I'll give it a good ol' college try, but I'll probably end up doing it kind of like a sitemap for a website or the early system flowcharts.

| You can now watch complete episodes of the Daily Show and The Colbert Report at Comedy Central. Now you have no excuse to not watch them. The new shows come up at about 4 a.m. Yeah, I know this isn't breaking news but this is one of those things that you should just hear from me. Now, about that tingly feeling in your special place, you see, there comes a time in a person's life...
Did you miss Doctor Horrible which I told you to watch in a previous post? Shame on you. Shame. On. You. You can no longer see it for free without ripping off Joss Whedon. But, lucky you, it will come out on DVD and you can buy the three episodes at iTunes. I was whistling the songs at work today.
See, you should listen to me when I tell you things or it will cost you money.
Like now: If you're dying to see the chick flick "Mama Mia", then you will enjoy it. It's silly, girly fun. BUT if, like me, you are the slightest bit critically-eyed (did I just invent a new word thingy? later... no, shows up in the googles) then you will see how poorly directed, photographed and worthlessly choreographed it is. Make the Pierce Brosnan singing stop. Please expunge it from my memories.
"The Dark Knight" still rocks the house, y'all. "The Watchmen" looks very promising. Oh, I'm completely out of the loop on this whole Twilight vampire stuff. It is going to be a movie and there are several books. News to me.

The only ones i'm not certain of are michigan and louisiana. I think i went to holland, mi, as a little kid, and probably went down to louisiana before my great aunt and great uncle moved from there to california. thanks to road trips, the only place on the east coast i've never been through is delaware. not that i really got much time in the south (since it was all just on the way to disney world), but i've been there!

| I woke up today smelling burnt plastic in the bedroom and worrying that the ceiling fan was having electrical problems, but there was nothing. I was just smelling phantom burnt plastic - for half an hour.
Now all I can smell is incense. I haven't burnt incense in probably 3 months.

| Giddily, I whipped out my credit card, which, because I'm poor, only has a balance of $52 on it, so I could order the new Mark Ryden (and Marion Peck) storybook "Sweet Wishes", which corresponds with their short film of the same title.
The book is $20.
They want another $20 to ship it to fucking Canada.
This brings the total to "too much monies" for a poor person to spend on a stupid storybook and that makes me very very sad.

| I generally clean out my wallet before going on big trips, leaving behind some of the things I know I won't need (like local movie theatre coupons or reward cards) and making sure I have the things I will need (like hotel and airline reward cards). But I'm generally not quite this methodical. Some good advice here. Thanks to Julie for the tips!
Are you carrying around security ID badges from three jobs ago? Ticket stubs from 1983? Diner register receipts so faded that you can only guess what you purchased from the color of the faded food stain (ketchup? strawberry jam?)?
